Should I buy the apple ipad?
I want one… but I am not sure if its worth it. Sure the prices are very low but it is still considered as a large buy. To get my moneys worth which version do i buy? 16gb? or would that be too low on space? 64gb? Is it more than I need? Do I need 3g? Will it connect to my home Wi-Fi network? Would it be useful at school, that is my main aim, to have it replace the laptop I have now. Is it delicate, it wont completally shut down by a simple bump? It will have to endure some pain with school life. I really dont think the apple website answered any of these questions… thats why I am worried that they are holding back this info to keep people buying the ipad.
HELP!
An iPad will not replace your laptop! Why not:
1) No multi tasking. With the exception of music if you want to run a different programme from the one you are using you have to shut it down first
2) Limited application availability. You can only install applications that you get from the app shop! This means that you can’t install the applications that you use at school nor open source applications – you are totally locked down to the applications that Apple approve for sale at the app store!
There are plenty of other reasons but I would have thought that those two together would be enough and I have no doubt other answerers will add to this list.
