Asus Laptops G73
Do the Asus G series laptops have a PPU?

Hey all,

I’m just curious to know if the Asus G73 (laptop) has a physics chip (PPU), and if not how I could add one, if that’s even possible. I think it may be part of the ATI chip, but i’m not entirely sure. As for the computers CPU, it has the Intel i7 @ 1.6GHz, which can be overclocked to 3.33GHz. It has the ATI Radeon 5870 Graphics card, and DirectX 11, which i’ve recently come to find, both are awesome.

I’ve just heard something recently of a “physics chip” and a “PPU” and how it improves gameplay. I plan on getting the G73 for serious gaming (like playing Crysis maxed) , so I was just wondering.

Lol laptop…crysis maxed…you made me lul. No it doesnt contain a “PHYSX” card. Physx is from using Nvidia GPU to create extra effects in a Physx enabled game. PPU is in the same category.
