Laptop recommendation? asus vs sony?
i’m just going into high school and am looking for a good laptop that will last me (hopefully) until college. i’ve narrowed it down to about 2 choices that i think look like good candidates:

or

both can be had for around $750 not including tax, my budget is $800 give or take a little.
dedicated graphics card would be welcome, but i’m somewhat avoiding that in order to keep battery life up and cost down. (either laptop is also available with ati dedicated graphics for an extra $50-ish)
anyone have suggestions and/or recommendations? your experiences with either brand/laptop are also much appreciated.
