Alienware m17x OR Asus G51JX 3D?

Im planning on getting a new computer, and I have a choice to make and I would like peoples opinions to help me.
I am going to use them mainly for gaming and school work. ( Intense gaming )
Both laptops are around the same price and around the same specs.
The Alien and the Asus both have the same i7 740QM processor, but the alien has a ATI Radeon HD 5850 and the Asus has a nVidia GT 360.
The asus has 3d gaming , which is a BIG plus in my opinion. But it makes the laptop 200 dollars more.
So what do you guys think? Is alien reliable?

wow between the two its really a difficult thing to draw a line between these 2 giant gaming notebooks.however since u need to make a choice let me draw a line between the 2.

according to PassMark Software’s video card benchmarks , the Mobility Radeon HD 5850 have a score of 895 and the GT360M have a score of 851.which one is higher?u know it.

i would say u go for the alienware because if u go for the asus notebook,then u r paying $200 more to get graphics card performance less than the one that is cheaper which is the alienware laptop.

besides what i heard is that Asus notebook consumes battery faster than that alienware.im not sure if thats true.but what i know is that that GTS 360M undergoes the 40nm fabrication process and that Mobility Radeon HD 5850 also undergoes the 40nm fabrication process. both perform as good as each other.however i can say that 5850 is better than that 360M.here’s why:

core clock:
360M – 550 MHz
5850 – 625 MHz
memory clock:
360M – 1 GHz
5850 (shaders) – 1436MHz

enough said.go for the alienware.
