Making Room For The Netbook
Netbooks are a small version of a laptop. The mini system allows you to do some light computer use making it the ideal companion to the lap top. If you do a lot of things on the computer then having a laptop and a netbook is a great idea, however if you only do light things on the computer then the simple and cheap netbook is perfect to meet your needs.
The netbook is a great travel companion. It offers ideal battery life because of its low voltage ability. All you need to do is charge it over night and it is excellent to last most of the day. It is small so it sits nicely on your lap while you may be the passenger in a car on a road trip. It also works well at coffee shops and restaurants when you want to just take up a small space on your table.
The netbook works better than a smart phone, because the screen is larger and so are the keys. So for people who want to chat on the internet or surf the web while they are at a coffee shop, it is often easy to do so on a netbook rather than squint looking at a cell phone. It also has a longer battery life then the smart phones do. It`s not too big or not too small size is making them increasingly popular.
There is the small netbook where the screen is less than 9 inches wide and there is the large netbook where the screen is over 10 inches. It really depends on what your preference is. Some people are okay with having a smaller screen while others cannot even imagine it. The best thing to do is go into a store and check out the screen sizes for you; sometimes they look different in person rather than on the internet or in a flyer.
Netbooks are wonderful because they are lighter and smaller and certainly cost less than a laptop. They are great for light surfing on the net, chatting with friends using social networking sites, taking notes and doing other basic computer things. With the low voltage, the battery life is something that people consider, especially for someone like a student who needs it to take notes during class. Some netbooks come with printers for an extra small fee, which make them perfect for printing out item of interest, great for travelers.
There are some great ones on the market right now that sell for under a few hundred dollars. One to take note of is the HP mini 8.9 inch intell Atom N270 1.6 GHz. The mini netbook also features a webcam and wireless internet, the perfect choice for people who like to chat online.

Selecting the right netbook might take some shopping around. You have to decide whether a small one is enough for you or if you really need that big screen one. When you decide on size then you can look at features and the price. The netbook is a handy little system that works well with people`s budgets.
