What’s wrong with my Dell Studio 17 inch laptop screen?

About 10 minutes ago my Dell Studio laptop screen started flickering and is now completely white! I didn’t drop it there was just a burning smell then it went crazy what’s happened? Help please I need it working asap!

it ISN’T white screen of death as F12 isn’t working but it is responding to key strokes

um mabe it got overheated and melted some wires, idk, only thing your can do is go to best buy, get it checked out, and look at some new ones.
