Should I get this Acer laptop?

Acer Aspire AS5745-3428 (~$700)
with core i5, 500 gb hard drive, and 4gb ram
Is Acer a good laptop brand? I know it had a bad reputation before, but is it good now ?
IMHO, Acer is an excellent brand. I had 2 Acer laptops, both about 5 years old, that still run well. The biggest drawback about Acer is their customer service. I called them about adding memory a while back and it took forever to get through and talk to a live person. maybe things have changed in that regard over the past couple of years, but it’s something to consider. For the price, it’s a very good computer. You might also want to look at Toshiba laptops. They’re reasonably priced and very good quality as well.
