How do I set up my laptop to my 50 inch Samsung plasma.Completely clueless.Never done before.?

I was wondering how I would set up my 15 inch screen toshiba laptop to my new 50 inch samsung plasma.I only heard you can do it but never hook a laptop to any tv.And also would I need to purchase any extra wires or anything to do it.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

it all depends on you laptop look around the side and look for and HDMI port but if it doesn’t have that than look for a dvi or a monitor cable…when you find out which you have go buy the cable and i recommend a WIRELESS mouse and keyboard so you don’t have to sit close to the tv.here’s a link to what all of these things look like.
