macbook or acer intel core i5 laptop?

I know I have been asking this question a lot but very very soon i will be getting one of these.
Im choosing either the

acer: 500 gig hard drive, 2.4 ghz, 4 gigs of RAM, and some weird graphics card all it says is”Integrated Graphics” on the website which i will get an upgrade if needed

macbook white: 250 gig hard drive, 2.4ghz, 2 gigs of RAM,NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card

I am using this computer for graphic design and using after effects cs4, using microsoft office, web surfing, email, basic audio editing,(nothing fancy), storing music, pictures,videos

so can anyone give me their input, “if i was you” sorta thing, that would be excellent

What people are saying about the 2GB ram is partly correct. The mac uses faster ram than that acer laptop, acer is ddr2 where as the mac is ddr3.
Windows uses about 1GB ram to run, mac OS is about 256 megs. so therefor, you have more to work with. also, because its integrated graphics on the acer, you will lose about 512 megs to the graphics.

The mac has better graphics chip, so it would be much better for graphics design. the Geforce 320M is a medium-scale card. Integrated means they were too cheap to even make a real card, you just draw off the processor.

Macs got a nice file system, makes storage easy. email isnt as good on the mac, outlook is still best, but if its like yahoo or MSN mail, it doesnt make a difference.

If it was me, I would go with the mac. more and more people are starting to figure out that just because PCs have better specs, doesnt mean they are the faster machine. If your storing ALOT of files, the acer would do better, the hard drive is a little bigger on that one. 250GB is still about 300 hours of video tho.
