Is it worth buying an i7 laptop for editing?

Im 14, been saving for a laptop for a year or something and have about £600 and I am looking for some advice. I was looking to do a lot of editing for HD videos on programs such as Sony Vegas and I was wondering if it would be best to spend that extra cash on an i7 processor.

Your man is right, When it comes to video editing a desktop pc is the way to go. But if your getting a laptop then go the the i7, cause then you will have it instead of not having it when you want it most.
