I recently got a mini dv camcorder but my laptop doesn’t have firewire (Sony HDR-HC1)?
I just wanted to know if their’s any difference when trasfering videos from a regular firewire cable or when transfering from a firewire to usb adaptor????
iridflare is right, get a FireWire card. I tried one of them out FireWire to usb, biggest load of rubbish, may as well have put the money on a three legged horse, in the Derby.
for the cost of a card and cable there isn’t going to be much in the price. maybe a little more but at least you know its going to work.
