Why doesn’t my Toshiba Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card work?
ipconfig says it is disconnected. It is enabled though. My other laptops and computers pick up the wireless signal fine. Why is it perpetually disconnected? It was working fine a few days ago and I haven’t changed any settings since. Did my card suddenly fail? I have a Toshiba Satellite.
I am positive it is enabled. The only option is to “disable” it. Nevertheless there is a big “x” through it because it is “not connected.” It is an internal card.
Thanks for the answers everyone. I should add that the device manager says the card is working properly. I should also add that I am at university and have no access to the router. What we have is a WAP in our living room. I am certain it is the computer and not the WAP because all over laptops work fine.
are you sure it is enabled if you go into control panel and double click on network connections you should have at least these 2 things in there a local area connections and the wireless connection
right click the wireless one and see if the option to enable is available if it is then it wasnt enabled
make sure your wireless adapter is connected properly
good luck
