What’s the best laptop for me~!?

I’m a junior at high school and is looking forward to get a new laptop. But i don’t know anything about the industry of computers. I want a laptop that’s convince, lasting-long, has all the needed stuff input-ed, come with a webcam and microphone. I want it to be as light as possible and if possible, i want white, red, or bright pink as the color. I do want it to be able to carry on when i am in college. So yeah, my friends told me to get a netbook, what’s that? Is it good? Good enough to keep it alive for about 5 years? What’s the pros and cons of netbooks and notebooks~!?

A netbook is not going to have a disc drive on it, meaning that you will not be able to watch movies or play music on your netbook. However, you can buy an external disc drive to perform this function later if you need it.

A netbook is going to be smaller and resultantly less powerful than a full-sized notebook counterpart. If you are looking for something to last up to five years, I would not recommend a netbook because it is going to be extremely slow in five years time. You are better off going with a full sized laptop that will have enough power to last you. Look for about 4 GB of ram and a dual core processor.

Dell is the best brand for creative colors or designs on their laptops. Honestly, though, I would recommend finding a laptop that fits your needs and then buying a “skin” (basically a large sticker) to put on the back to personalize it. You can find those online.

Nearly all modern laptops have built in webcams and microphones. Unless you are really skimping on your budget, that shouldn’t be a problem. If for some reason you end up buying one without a webcam/microphone, you can get an external one for around $30-$40.
