Great netbook
Bought this because I was tired of lugging my laptop around on trips. This is very compact, light, and fits in an average sized purse. The screen is very clear, the keys are very comfortable, and it can go pretty much all day without needing to be charged. I did order the extra memory with it, I should have also ordered a soft case (I got one later). Great product!

Love this netbook
I have had this for over a week now and just love it. I have large fingers and the keys are easy to use for me. I ordered the ram that amazon recomends for this netbook and after installing it the netbook would not boot. I tried reseating several times but it still would not work. I then took my netbook to a local pc repair shop and they tried 2 other ram sticks based on manufactures recomendations but no luck will try more ram later

Love, love, love this computer
I do a lot of shopping on Amazon. I look at reviews and what is bestselling. I knew I wanted a netbook. I chose this Gateway because of the reviews it had received, both through Amazon and other sites. I absolutely love it! The screen is so crystal clear. The keyboard feels nice and big for a netbook. My husband has an Acer and we both agree, this is a better netbook. The styling is great. I only need it to surf the net, so I cannot comment on use of programs and such. I would be surprised if anyone was actually disappointed with this product.

Simply Awesome!
My household has five computers and this is the best one. I keep it in Sleep mode just by opening and closing the lid and the battery lasts up to two days with moderate use. This is our first Windows 7 computer and it works well, recognizing our home network and its NAS without any effort. I use a combination of Chrome, Picasa (with eye-fi), Security Essentials and Office and it is zippy enough.

The Gateway LT2118u has all the specifications mentioned in the product page. I only wish that it had built-in bluetooth. The screen collects dust easily. No other complaints. One of the better looking netbooks out there compared to other brands. The battery life came close to 10 hours of net surfing and word processing. Definitely a best buy versus Dell and HP/Compaq.

Hi, I got this netbook last Feb.4 and everything arrived perfect no problem no monkey business no joke. The netbook is really cute and Im so very happy that I got it. One thing that Im not happy to buy this netbook just because my wife is dying to have it now I have nothing. I recommend this to everybody specially to teens and womens.

I have to admit i wasn’t even thinking about getting a netbook until I saw the Gateway LT. Everything I wanted on a netbook was available on this computer. First I have to say the netbook is gorgeous. I didn’t get it from Amazon, because it was truly a impulse buy. I wasn’t even thinking about getting a netbook when I went into this store, but as I strolled by the computer section, I saw this netbook and it totally stood out above the rest. Again the frame on the netbook is gorgeous, it reminds me of something that Apple would have created. The LED 10 inch screen is amazing. I watched a episode of the Simpsons on the screen and it was truly amazing. I don’t believe this is a HD screen, but to be honest you would never know it. With it’s high resolution and LED back lighting on the screen looking at pictures, watching videos, and web browsing is top notch.
The keyboard is great. the keyboard is similar to what the Macbooks have. The keyboard was the main reason I was so iffy with netbooks. I don’t have small hands, and I thought typing on a netbook keyboard would be a strain, but to my surprise its very easy. The keyboard setup is very similar to that of your average laptop, even though the keyboard is smaller it really doesn’t feel like it. The keyboard is very responsive.
The touchpad is also great as well. When you look at it, it doesn’t seem like its even there at all. You know its there because there is a grid that represent the touchpad. but it doesn’t look like the typical touchpads you would see in most netbooks. Also the left and right clicker is also integrated into the design of this netbook. Also the textured palm rest is a welcoming edition especially if you have to do a lot of typing, like I’m doing typing out this review.
It has the new Intel Atom N450 processor. 10 hours of great battery life, built in wifi that easy to connect. Windows 7 starter with the ability to upgrade. 60 days of Windows Office. HD stereo sound, nice webcam that can be used for video or even taking pics of yourself, and even more
Overall this is the best netbook I’ve seen or used, Gateway gets A+ for their effort.

The best netbook out there
This is by far the best netbook on the market. With regards to the previous review, yes, the netbook comes with a sticker that says 8 hours of battery life, but my battery is at 93% right now and has 9 hours 15 minutes left on it, so the 10 hour claim is correct. I was worried that the keypad would be too small, considering that the screen is 10.1 inches, but its a full size keypad and I have had no problems with it. The widescreen seems bigger than 10.1 inches as well.
The netbook itself is gorgeous; I love the white color, and most people are surprised to see how nice it actually is. The computer is very quick and easy to adjust to. I basically put the battery in, turned it on, and immediately began using it. Its fast, efficient, PORTABLE!!, light and convenient! I would definitely choose the Woindows 7 over the XP edition, and the 250GB hard drive is great because most netbooks only come with 160. I would definitely choose this one over the $299 one. The netbook comes with 60 day trial for norton, and the only disadvantage for windows 7 is that you can’t change the background without upgrading the edition or something, but it doesn’t bother me. The webcam is great and crystal clear! The new touchpad is pretty cool too.
Overall, Great buy!! Definitely would recommend!
