netbook (minilaptop) or a ipod touch?
For Christmas my parents just usually give me money .. not bragging or anything but I would like to buy something for myself.
I would like a laptop , since my brother and I constantly fight over the computer , but if I get a cheap laptop it will probably suck?
Do you think “netbooks” (mini laptops) are any good?
they’re around $400 .. I currenlty have $150 and i get some for christmas .. and after that if i save my money i will probably have enough money to get a netbook if they’re good.
Or should I just get an ipod touch ? It has internet .. i have an ipod but i dont really use it cause its a shuffle .. no screen no fun haha .

from a tech point of view, netbooks are great. I have a degree in ITT from RIT, and they were just developing while i was going through school there. BUT, if you want internet, you NEED, yes, NEED to buy te AT&T monthly internet plan. They run of that network, great idea, but do you wanna pay at least $60 a month for something that comes included when you but a reg. laptop. I’m getting a touch, i didn’t really want it, but i think i’ll warm up to it, alot of features and apps (plenty of free) to make it worth the $. If you want, a good desktop is about $400-$500, way less than a good laptop. It’s a tradeoff, your choice.
Touch:
Pros- Internet, apps, MUSIC!, plenty of others
Cons- $$, still buggy, touch very sensitive.
Netbook:
Pros- small, cheap, great mobile os on it
Cons-small, (screen) Pay for internet, not really for real work, more of a novelty.
