Notebooks For Kids
Do I have the right personality to be a fashion designer?

Fashion has always struck me as a very of-the-moment, shallow, materialistic business, which is populated by too-cool-for-school types. I’ve been researching fashion and designing clothes since I was a child, doodling dresses in the margins of my notebooks. I was one of those nerdy kids who read everything and watched arthouse movies. I’m interested in Victorian romanticism, rich fabrics, odd prints, bright colours, and surrealist touches. My own style is unique, and people often remark on it. Fashion strikes me as being conformist in general, because everyone seems enslaved to what is the style this season. I consider myself more creative than cool. Is fashion really only for the impossibly cool and chic? I don’t mean to offend anyone, but I really don’t know too much about the day-to-day business of fashion design

I personally think that fashion the way you express yourself, so when i read what you wrote it seems to me like you’re very unique. If you want to be a fashion designer, you should do it because it feels just right and suits your opinions, so if you think fasion doesnt matter than i say dont design it! i admire that you wear your own thing and go your own way, and just so you know most fashion designers are wild and unique because that’s what inspires them. do what feels right and what you love!
