Is your Harddrive Getting Full on your Notebook?
I seen that harddrive size has been increasing a lot.
but if you use notebook, there is limitation of adding drive.
do you travel a lot? movin around? I use Western Digital 250 GB USB Portable Hard Drive
they are small and easy to carry around. instead of storing the all your important data into your notebook, why don’t you keep it in there separately?
I seen lot of people getting their notebook computer stolen and lost data etc.
this way all your data is on your drive even if notebook is stolen, (well make sure that you don’t get both stolen) good thing I like about this external drive is that you can encyrpt the data that’s being stored. you can use it as simply back up as well.
and also the tip of in case your notebook is stolen.
always keep your booklet etc that comes with your notebook, and also keep the MAC address listed under your notebook, or if it’s on the box cut it out and keep it.
if you have MAC address kept somewhere, if the theif uses your notebook, go online, you can trace your notebook via MAC address. MAC address is unique to each network card, like social security number, and through all the internetprovider (ISP) police can trace the where it is located and bam! they will be knocking on theif’s door.
It has happened to my friend once, actually their wireless router didn’t have security, then theif was using the stolen notebook going internet through that. so cop came knocking on their door, they lived in highraise, so cop went to few doors down and caught the guy.
