You definitely want a folder for each subject, and I wouldn’t buy sixteen notebooks all at once as you probably won’t need all of them. Get one notebook for each class and then if you run out, you can get a new one later.

You may want more index cards, they’re great for history.

I wouldn’t advise binders unless your teacher requires it, they are a pain in the but to carry around.

You almost certainly won’t need white out, but if you feel you need it, go ahead. As for colored pencils, sure, you’ll need them for projects, but you can probably leave them at home, and don’t forget to get markers at well (for posters).

Gel pens are overkill unless you normally write with them. I would suggest getting a couple different colors of pens though, sometimes a teacher wants you to underline different things in different colors.

Make sure you get lead if you’re getting mechanical pencils!!!

You probably don’t need that much loose-leaf if you’re getting notebooks. Just get a little bit to store at the back of your binder if you decide to go that route. And get your graph paper in notebook form and use it for your math notebooks. It helps keep you organized.
