what makes apple mac better than the rest of the notebooks out there?

i’m on the search for a laptop, someone told me that I should really get an apple mac, i dont know because theyre extremely expensive and i dont know how to use the program, can anyone tell what what are the advantages or disadvantages?

Gee your Bud with all the knowledge about mac’s would probably be the best source for this info.
