I need a quick answer re Sony viao with a dead screen?
A friend staying with us has a Sony viao laptop – its been ok up till a few minutes ago when the screen went black – as if it were turned off. The power light is on so supply is ok, when a disc is inserted the computer is reading it ( we can hear it whirling) but still the screen is black – have powered down/up to no effect – any ideas?
there is and might be a number of things. we cant answer that really.
Best way is ask the shop or pc guy to have a look at it.
My best guess is, something might be turned off by accident on the keyboard OR the screen connection to base is loose OR the LCD screen is faulty.
No chance you get the correct answer here but you will get the right answer from the shop or pc guy. i would go for pc guy as they will be cheaper.
TIP. in local papers, look in the advert computer section, sometimes someone offers a percent off for new customers etc. i did with mine.
